Contact us within 24 hours of delivery with a photo of the deceased bird(s). We will reship at no charge on the next available ship date, or issue a full refund for the affected birds. Our 99% live arrival rate reflects 22 years of perfecting our packing system.
Due to USDA regulations and extended transit times, we currently do not ship domestically to Hawaii or Alaska. Residents of these states may contact us at (346) 636-0501 to discuss international shipping options as an alternative.
🐔 Breeds
We sell 32+ NPIP-certified breeds including: Rhode Island Red, Buff Orpington, Easter Egger, ISA Brown, White Leghorn, Black Australorp, Silver Laced Wyandotte, Blue Laced Red Wyandotte, Plymouth Rock, Black Copper Marans, Cuckoo Marans, Ameraucana, Cream Legbar, Olive Egger, Golden Comet, Delaware, New Hampshire Red, Dominique, Welsummer, Speckled Sussex, Cornish Cross, Freedom Ranger, Jersey Giant, Naked Neck, Light Brahma, Dark Brahma, Cochin, Buckeye, Silkie Bantam, Polish, Frizzle, and Serama. Visit our shop page for current availability.
Top egg producers we sell: ISA Brown (300–320 eggs/yr), White Leghorn (280–320), Golden Comet (280–300), Rhode Island Red (250–300), Black Australorp (250–300), Easter Egger (200–280 colorful eggs). For beginners, we recommend ISA Browns or Rhode Island Reds for consistent production and docile temperament.
Best heat-tolerant breeds for Texas summers: Naked Neck (Turken) — most heat-tolerant breed, ISA Brown, White Leghorn, Golden Comet, and Easter Egger. Avoid heavy-feathered cold-weather breeds like Brahmas and Cochins in extreme heat without shade and ventilation. Call us for personalized breed recommendations for your specific climate.

No. Zelle and Cash App payments have zero transaction fees. They are the fastest and most cost-effective payment methods. Card payments are also accepted with no additional surcharge.
🏅 NPIP & Health
NPIP stands for National Poultry Improvement Plan — a federal and state cooperative program that tests poultry flocks for Pullorum disease, Typhoid, and other serious poultry diseases. NPIP certification is required for legal interstate and international live poultry shipping. All our flocks have been NPIP certified since our founding in 2003.
Yes. An NPIP certificate is included with every order. Additional copies are available on request — contact us at info@livepoultrystore.com or call (346) 636-0501.
Vaccination is available as an add-on option at checkout. We offer Marek's disease vaccination for all chick orders. Adult birds can also be vaccinated on request. Call (346) 636-0501 to discuss vaccination options for your specific order.
🏡 Care & Arrival
Your post office will call you when birds arrive — typically early morning. Pick up same day. Open the box immediately in a warm, draft-free area. Offer clean water first (add electrolytes if available), then feed. Keep birds warm (95°F for chicks, room temperature for adults) for the first 24–48 hours. Full care guide included in every order.
Quarantine new birds for 2–4 weeks in a separate space before introducing to your existing flock. This prevents disease transmission. After quarantine, introduce gradually — visual contact through a fence first, then supervised time together, then full integration. Avoid introducing at night or during extreme weather.
🌎 International
We ship to any country where live poultry import is permitted, including Canada, Mexico, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, UK, Germany, France, Netherlands, Nigeria, Ghana, Philippines, UAE, Bahamas, Barbados, and many more. Call us at (346) 636-0501 for country-specific requirements and shipping quotes.
We handle all required documentation including: USDA APHIS export health certificate, NPIP certificate, CITES documentation if required, and country-specific import permits. We have been processing international live poultry shipments since 2012 and understand the requirements for each country we serve.
